The close relationship between history and geography has led geographical factors to play a significant role in historical events and developments. Therefore, examining geographical factors, particularly natural elements such as climate, vegetation cover, and water resources, contributes to a better understanding of historical issues and processes. The Province of Kerman has long been distinguished for its industries. During the era of the Kerman Seljuk Dynasty, in particular, industrial prosperity and growth intensified as a result of human factors such as strong political authority, territorial expansion, security, and commercial and economic policies and facilities. This study, while considering the interconnectedness of various economic aspects and modes of production, investigates the major geographical factors influencing the growth and development of plant-based industries in the Province of Kerman from the 7th to the 12th centuries CE. By examining the natural geography of the Province of Kerman and the most influential natural geographical factors, and through reliance on historical and geographical sources of the period using a descriptive-analytical approach, an attempt has been made to provide an appropriate explanation for this issue. The findings indicate that natural geographical factors, including climate and vegetation type, can influence agricultural patterns and the production of industrial crops within a region. Consequently, a region or city may experience the growth and development of industries associated with those particular plants.
